Chisholms solicitors formerly of 58 Molesworth St Wadebridge Cornwall PL27 7DR, e-mail addresses mail@chisholmswade.co.uk.
Telephone 01208 812470
Please note I am about to retire after 38 years operating this practice and close down.
All documents are still safely stored.
Henceforth:
-
Deeds will be very kindly stored for me by Macmillans, Solicitors, Manor House, Wadebridge PL27 6BS Telephone 01208 812415, E-mail info@macmillans-solicitors.co.uk, website www.macmillans-solicitors.co.uk
Please contact me preferably by e-mail on mail@chisholmswade.co.uk or letter to our normal address (all mail redirected) to indicate either your consent, or other requirements and we will make those arrangements. Remember, they are your deeds and it is entirely a matter for you. They can be collected by appointment, posted to you (we will let you know the postage cost) or delivered, if local, by arrangement. Telephoning us would also be acceptable but please bear in mind we only have one line and it is likely to be busy a lot of the time. We may need to see some ID, and have the authority of all joint owners if more than one.
-
Wills: For the moment these continue to be stored here but I may make other arrangements and will notify you.
As with the deeds mentioned above, please contact me to indicate your consent or other requirements and we will make the arrangements, again, as above.
- Lasting/enduring powers of attorney: these will continue to be stored securely here at my home, Rycroft, Elmsleigh Rd, Wadebridge, PL27 7HA and can continue to be stored or sent, or collected by appointment, as above.
- Historic probates: (ie, those where administration of the estate has concluded - in some cases, very many years ago). These will continue to be stored here and if they are required, we will need the authority of the proving executors. They will otherwise be destroyed after 12 years. Note that copies can be obtained from the Government probate registry (https://www.gov.uk search “probate”)
- Completed files and working papers: no change to the existing arrangements. These will continue to be stored by me until 12 years have elapsed from conclusion of the work when they will be confidentially destroyed, just as before.
It only remains for me to thank my many, many loyal clients from the last 38 years (and in some cases longer given that I have been actually working for 53 years here and in Bodmin): I send you my best wishes for the future and doubtless many of us will continue to bump into each other from time to time.
In case of any doubt or lasting queries and if you for any reason cannot address them to me using the above contact details, you are able to communicate with
